Amit Rachman

          Amit Rachman is a self-published children’s book author who was born in Israel and grew up in California. Her love for reading and books started at a young age and became a life-long passion. Her picture books generally convey more complicated morals or messages in a fun, child-friendly way. Historical allegories, bullying, and inclusivity are themes that Amit’s picture books emphasize. 
          Amit graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Cell Biology, and she is currently attending Optometry school and will become an eye doctor when she graduates in 2025. 
          Amit has spent multiple summers being a reading tutor for elementary school students, and she has worked as a bookseller, spreading her love of books to others.
